Pete Krutschnitt
I’ve been teaching drum set, concert, and marching percussion since 2009, and playing nonstop for over 20 years.
I’m musically hyperactive, which has led me to perform with marimba orchestras; pit orchestras; an NFL drum line; and funk, worship, Americana, Irish and cover bands, both live and in the studio. My recording credits include Big Hoax, a group that received honorable mention in NPR’s 2015 Tiny Desk Concert series. I’ve written and choreographed an indoor drumline show, taught in schools and stores, and most recently led a bucket band for BSO OrchKids.
I have a B.A. in Percussion Performance from Marietta College, but my approach to teaching is more organic, less academic. Currently, I’m also a private instructor for St. Paul’s School.
